DESCRIPTION:Future Caps is a Learn to Play initiative developed in collaboration with the National Hockey League (NHL) and National Hockey League Player’s Association (NHLPA). The NHL and NHLPA have identified the need for a unified growth strategy as a priority for the sport of hockey. The Future Caps Learn to Play program aims to be the gold standard for youth hockey programs with the goal of inspiring more families to join the hockey community. Learn to Play changes the way youth hockey is offered by providing first-time participants free head-to-toe equipment\, eight (8) classes of age appropriate on-ice instruction\, and certified coaching in a fun and safe atmosphere. We look forward to seeing you on the ice! At the Reisterstown Sportsplex\, the FCLTP program is run on the ice by the Foundations Hockey team of instructors

SUMMARY:Transitions Series: Contact Confidence
DESCRIPTION:This 4-week mini-camp is designed to teach proper body contact (checking) to players who will be moving into the 14U age division in the 2026-2027 season. We will develop proper angling techniques\, help students understand the strategic purpose of checking in the game of hockey\, and instruct on how to give and receive contact. \nTHIS PROGRAM IS NOT ABOUT MAKING BIG HITS. It is about providing safety and confidence to players who are taking an important next step in their youth hockey careers. \nEach Wednesday night session is 45 minutes and will be station-based. Students will be grouped with others of similar experience levels.

SUMMARY:Transitions Series: Full-Ice Readiness
DESCRIPTION:This 4-week mini-camp is designed to prepare players for full-ice hockey as they move into the 10U age division in the 2026-2027 season. We will teach basic positioning\, offsides\, icing\, changing on the fly\, and other important aspects of the full-ice game. \nThis program will give first year 10U players the confidence they need to take this important next step in their youth hockey careers. \nEach Tuesday night session is 45 minutes. Sessions will be a combination of drill stations and game simulations.
